When we watch a movie, we expect them to use high-tech props that cost several thousands of dollars. That’s what the multimillion-dollar budgets are for, right? Well, it turns out that we’ve actually been wrong all along. In fact, movie props that would seem to cost an arm and a leg are actually everyday items that can be found anywhere, like our bathroom, bedroom, or garage.
Famous box office hits like ‘Star Wars,’ ‘The Terminator,’ and ‘Mad Max’ use props like Nerf Guns, hair dryers, and stage light stands as movie props. These are just some of many hidden movie secrets you probably never thought were true. It’s surprising how simple these props are, so check out several movie props that looked high-tech but were actually just everyday items below.
50. Mad Max Muzzle
The ‘Mad Max’ film series is one of our favorites of all time, especially 2015’s ‘Fury Road.’ As above, we love learning about movies that reuse items to create post-apocalyptic creations. The muzzle that Mad Max wears is made from a gardening fork. They tied down the handle using straps and painted it to blend in with the other parts of his costume. Now that’s creative. All you have to do is go into your backyard garage, dig around a bit, and you could easily put together props that are suitable for famous movies (via TV Bee).
