No one likes playing by the rules, especially when they’re forced upon us. The good news is that rules tend to be black and white, meaning there’s typically a gray area. Many people use this area to generate a way around them. You just have to be clever enough to figure it out. Once people find that loophole and beat the system, it usually feels like a victory. There are some brilliant people out there who found a way around the rules, even if it could’ve led to an embarrassing moment.

Whether it was making a fake parking ticket, painting the walls with an endless supply of paint samples, or teachers who organize “spontaneous” meetings when the school bans planned ones, these people are an inspiration to us all. They stuck it to the system by making up their own creative ways to get things done by thinking outside the box. Check out how they beat the system in 50 hilarious ways here. Because of these, maybe we’ll think twice the next time we get too focused on simply following the rules.

We’ve all attended a festival or concert at least once or twice where booze wasn’t allowed. It’s frustrating because you know how much alcohol costs once you’re inside. Luckily, there are ways to beat the system, just as this person posted on their Twitter account. They decided to put vodka into a water bottle, and then cover the bottle with a burrito wrap, making it look like a delicious meal. If we didn’t know there was a bottle of vodka in that burrito, we’d probably try to eat it. The “vodka burrito was a success.” Let’s hope they had a good night (via Twitter).

When a sign says “NO bicycle riding, rollerblading, roller skating, skateboarding,” etc, what are you supposed to do? Walk? No thanks. This guy beat the system and discovered a very inventive way to get around the rules. The sign didn’t say anything about riding a unicycle, so technically, he’s allowed to (via Eighties Kids).

Reddit

Imagine having to write a letter home to eat? That just seems wrong. This person on Reddit posted, “I was forced to write this to eat.” They beat the system by pretending to write a letter. Even so, that’d be a hilarious, and possibly concerning, letter to receive at home when your child is at summer camp (via Reddit).

When you go on a shopping spree, you don’t want your partner to discover the amount of money you spent. When this woman’s husband found out about her expenses at ULTA, she convinced him it meant utilities, and that she paid the utility bill. The tweet earned close to 600,000 likes on Twitter and 150,000 retweets (via dailymail.co.uk). If our partner was gullible enough, we’d probably do the same.

This student on Reddit beat the system by taking the ‘single page formula sheet’ to an entirely new level. They said, “only allowed a single page formula sheet? Challenge accepted,” and proceeded to write the formulas in minuscule handwriting to fit that single page piece of paper. Let’s hope they got an A on that exam (via Reddit).

This group of schoolboys beats the system in one of the cutest, most clever ways possible. When temperatures soared, these boys were told they weren’t allowed to wear shorts under the school’s uniform policy. But the boys were told they could wear skirts since the girls could if they chose to. The next day, at least 30 of the boys came in wearing skirts borrowed from girlfriends and sisters. Some even shaved their legs. Talk about equality (via The Guardian)!

Seriously, we had tears streaming down our faces after seeing this Twitter user’s post. We’ve all been there: parents go away for a weekend, we invite our friends over for a party, and hope our parents don’t find out. Unfortunately, this Twitter user’s dad has a camera in the living room, but that didn’t stop them. They said, “my dad went to Vegas for 5 days and put a camera in the house but that ain’t stopping me.” This person is a genius. They put a fake photograph of their living room in front of the camera. We can only imagine what sort of party they had that weekend (via Twitter).

This bar sold drinks to its customers on the sidewalk. Technically, it’s not okay if your business takes up that much space. We don’t blame the government for issuing this policy, but this bar had a tactic to beat the system. They set their patrons up on a truck. It’s clever and sneaky, and we can only pat the bar owner on the back for thinking of this one (via My Health Gazette).

When your mother tells you it’s too nice outside to play games inside, what do you do? Take the games outside, of course! This kid totally beat the system by taking his computer outside, so he could continue playing his games. That’s a prime example of killing two birds with one stone (via Eighties Kids).

When your best friend can’t make it to a party, it can be a letdown. Thanks to technology today, we can still see our friends, even if they’re not physically present in front of us. These friends in particular took it to an entirely new level. When their friend couldn’t make it to the party, they used an iPad and clothing to improvise. It’s genius, to say the least. It almost looks real (via My Health Gazette).

If you’ve ever bought Chipotle to-go, only to have your burrito or tacos soggy by the time you’re home, you’re not alone. Luckily, there’s a way to beat the system. This father in particular asked Chipotle to get the cold ingredients on the side so they could reassemble the tacos at home. That way, your tacos are fresh and delicious by the time you eat them. We’re not sure why we didn’t think of that first (via Buzzfeed).

Some of us had to wear school uniforms as kids. While it was frustrating, it made choosing clothes in the morning a lot easier. Sometimes, though, you want to stand out from the crowd, as this Reddit user chose to do. They said, “my school requires a full suit and tie dress code. However, a coat is allowed in the winter,” which is how they beat the system. They showed up at school in a bear coats. The teacher can’t say anything because, technically, it’s allowed. They look amazing, to say the least (via Reddit).

What’s one way to avoid getting a parking ticket? Put a fake parking ticket on your windshield! On-campus, student Azodeh avoided getting parking tickets by slipping an old parking ticket on his windshield after parking his car. He’s had a 100% success rate. This is a great way to beat the system. If you get caught, you could just innocently explain you forgot to remove your old parking ticket off your windshield. There’s no way they can argue against that (via Buzzfeed).

When you’re not allowed to paint the walls, how do you beat the system? Use paint samples, obviously. This person somehow managed to collect tons of paint samples and place them on their wall. This is the first time we’ve seen anyone using paint sample to beat the system. That’s pretty clever and creative and it looks pretty good (via Reddit).

This hotel had a ‘no drinks at the pool’ policy, so these guys beat the system by creating a very long straw so they could drink at the pool anyway. Technically, they’re not breaking any rules, and it’s a clever alternative to the rules. Now they can fully enjoy their vacation (via Eighties Kids).

If you wreck two cars, welding doors together from both cars can work just as well, if not better. This guy beat the system when he wrecked his two Priuses, and then proceeded to weld the nonwrecked parts together and made a six-door car. Now that’s some skill. We’re wondering what the inside of the car looks like, and which door they use to exit and enter the car (via Reddit).

How else would you answer the question, “what country owns Greenland?” You’d say, “not Greenland” of course. Technically, this student’s answer isn’t wrong, and he beat the system by answering honestly and openly. We’re probably all wishing we were this clever when we were a kid (via Indy 100).

Kids don’t always listen to their parents’ directions. But, sometimes, they listen to a bit too closely and can end up mocking their parents, whether purposefully or not. Even though it can be frustrating, it’s pretty hilarious. Kids know just how to beat the system, and when a child is clever, you can’t really be mad at them. A mother shared a photo of her child’s grapes that each had a bite, with the caption, “my kid said I gave her too many grapes. I said just eat half of them.” Even though we know this isn’t what the mother meant, we can only applaud the child (via Pop Sugar).

Over the years, technology has advanced dramatically. We’ve come such a long way over the past several decades and continue to grow. These technological discoveries are changing the way we live our life. Sometimes, however, there are clever ways to beat the system, just as this meme says. To save money on a 3D printer, just buy a 3D printer, print a 3D printer, and then return the original 3D printer. That’s like inception. We have to admit, that’s pretty genius(via My Health Gazette).

A little reverse psychology never hurts, which is what this student attempted to do successfully. Their professor bumped their grade up to an A- using reverse psychology. By asking their professor to lower their grade, they ended up bumping up their grade. This is a prime example of someone who beat the system. Kudos, student (via I Waste So Much Time).

What’s the easiest way to fill out a CV and cover letter? Write the same sentence over and over again. This teacher asked their students to fill out a CV and cover letter as if they were a Marvel character. This student beat the system by choosing a Marvel character that only says, “I Am Groot.” It’s a phrase you say when you don’t know what to say next. This is brilliant. Kids definitely say the funniest things (via Eighties Kids).

When you can’t say exactly what you mean, what’s the next best option? Refer to an episode of The Office, of course. This girl beat the system by referring to The Office, Season 7, Episode 19, Minute 14:45, which says, “should have burned this place down when I had the chance.” (via Daily).

Bad things happen to good people. It’s just how it is. Sometimes, people figure this out later in life, while others discover it while they’re still quite young. Luckily, this doesn’t mean it has to happen to you since there are ways to beat the system. Just because this child’s dad isn’t around, doesn’t mean they can’t have a parent come to school for ‘Donuts with Dad.’ This mother dressed as a dad and came to school anyway. That’s one of the most heartwarming stories on this list (via My Health Gazette).

This restaurant can’t sell water because of the festival rules, so they found a way to beat the system. They’re having their customers buy one peanut for one dollar, shell included, so they get a free bottle of water with their purchase. That’s quite smart. Shockingly, they’re not allowed to sell water, a basic human need (via My Health Gazette).

If you’re operating an oven, you should know what kind of degrees the cookbook is referring to. That’s just dangerous. Let’s hope these people were playing a massive joke because even though it’s one way to beat the system, it’s a bit worrisome. Still, we’re curious about how this meal turned out (via My Health Gazette).

50. Vodka Burrito
